Wtf is this thing?

Dear Santa... Dear Santa, This year I've been busy! In July I caught a purse-snatcher who stole boredom_doodles's purse (30 points). In January on a flight to Pakistan, I stole the emergency flight information card (-40 points). Last Sunday I bought porn for kariohki (-10 points). Last Thursday I set pkmntrainrshane's puppy on fire (-66 points). In February I invaded Iraq, broke it, and couldn't glue it back together before Mom got home (-1012 points). So my brother graduates from high school tonight.

That's kind of cool.

I'll get to sit through an obnoxiously long ceremony, but then we're all going out to Hibachi afterwards for a celebratory dinner (his request--it's "tradition", he says, because we went there for dinner after I graduated).  So that'll be fun.

I need a new mood icon set or whatever.  This weird blue lizard thing is limited and annoying.

So dorkdom time, Pokemon Gold and Silver are getting remade into Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver. At least, I think those are the names. Not super fond of them, but they're good enough. Anyway, they're going to be for the DS. Hopefully with some fun DSi-features, so that I can play with those.

Anyway, not much is known about the games yet, but I'm looking forward to them. Japanese release in the fall, assumed North American release early 2010. Which I keep typing as 2100. I need to stop that.

To celebrate this news, I will...be even more of a dork and post my teams from the Pokemon games I played recently! Why? I do not know. But I'm at work and super bored so humor me. Also I really don't remember all the details so this is to the best of my knowledge, etc.

So, my birthday was yesterday.  I'm twenty-one, yayyyy.  Didn't get around to drinking anything--no real reason, it's just that the restaurant I went to didn't serve anything, apparently.  Didn't realize it until I got there.  Ah, well.

Spent the day simply.  Went to the comic shop and hung out for awhile.  Relaxed, watched some television, read a bit.  Went out to a fancy Japanese restaurant with my aunt, my grandfather, and his fiance.  Came home, watched some television, read a bit more.

Presents?  Not much yet.  My neighbor gave me a $25 gift card to Best Buy.  My grandfather, in addition to paying for the dinner last night, gave me $20.  That's all so far--my parents are out of town, in Puerto Rico actually.  Dad had a business trip, my mom tagged along.  They'll be back later today, and we're probably doing something birthday-y this weekend.

Got some well-wishes from a few people.  I expect that most of them were because of Facebook reminders, but hey.  Allie even said happy birthday to me, which was kind of surprising.  And then there were those that didn't say anything.

I'm just feeling rather bitter in general these days.  Not bad, just...less forgiving.

So I've got a Twitter?  Had it for awhile, but I barely touched it.  But I just realized I could do it from my phone, so.  We'll see how that goes!

Well, that budget was a rousing success!  I spent less than I have in previous months, sure, but, well, I certainly didn't save anywhere near what I planned.

Ah, well.  I got lots of comics out of it, and I mean LOTS.  And also, three(!) copies of Pokemon Platinum, through weird pre-order hijinks.  I'm selling one to Dana and letting my sister play one, I guess.

Yeah, totally insane for buying all that I do, I know.  My credit card is almost maxed out, although that's because of Christmas presents and having to pay January rent, without getting a chance to pay it back.

But anyway, I was checking at Blog@Newsarama, and they listed a set of all five DMZ trades for...well, a cheap price for five trades.  And I've heard such great things about it, and about Brian Wood.  And when I checked DMZ out on Wikipedia, I thought that it sounded interesting!  So, buy buy buy!

Of course, my god, I need to seriously start paying off my credit card...
